I remember it too, very well. Motorcycles surrounding the motorcade wizzing by very close to the crowd.

Like you I also remember when Kennedy came through the area on Hunting Park Ave. At that time he was running for office, so he was on the campaign trail for office. I had the unbelievable pleasure of the Motorcade actually stopping for a few seconds in front of us at "M" St & Hunting Park. He and Jacqueline both said Hi to us and we were not more then 5 feet from the car since there was literally no one around us because there was a major delay in them getting there. I will never forget that encounter and was saddened then as a young boy of what might have been had he lived.

Ladies and Gentlemen There is a Army chaaplian Named Father Emil Kapuan this past April he was posthumosly awarded The Congressional Medal Of Honor for minstering to Prisoners of war of all faiths During The Korean war He wa assigned to the 8th rigiment of the 1st Cavalry Division and was a Captian as well he psased away while in captivity his body was never recovered for all of his actions of ministering to POW's Him and some of his unit were captured by The Chinese Communists This has to be one for the books a Congressional Medal Of Honor up for Canonization Plus its also going to put the 1st Cavalry Division into the limelight May God rest him

Happy belated Thanksgiving to all I can still remeber I was stradding my bike in front of Holy Innocents when Kennedy came through on his motorcade when he was asssinated I was killed I was coming home from school I wasn't in a big hurry I had time to kill so I jumoed The 3 bus rode to K&A Then I saw the flag at half mast I wondered who had passed away at the Newstand I saw a Picture of Kennedy and his wife captured on film up closeand when I got home I came inot the house and my mom was very upset I asked her what was up She told me Kennedy was shot to death. I was very devestated I think this event shook our country to its core and other events I remeber where I was when Doc King was killed and when Bobby Kennedy was asssinated and when 9-11-01 these events I still to this day remeber where I was
