PICCOLI MONGOS
Once upon a time there was a playground in Juniata named Piccoli. Many people from the neighborhood would play sports and hang out there. During the late 70's and early 80's a fine group of young men banded together and called themselves the Mongos. Some say they were named after Mongo from the movie Blazing Saddles, but others knew that this couldn't be true. That Mongo was a rebel rouser who actually knocked out a horse by punching it, our Mongos would NEVER do such a thing. Here are a few pictures of these nice young gentleman. As you can see they enjoyed doing things like playing football and singing Christmas Carols for the community. We're not sure where all of the Mongo's are today but we are sure wherever they are they will live happily ever after.........
