Mr. John Hooven passed away on October 28, 2011 at 88 years of age. He was a staple in Juniata Park most of his life. He helped start the Juniata Park Boys Club. Like most fathers back in the day he was involved with coaching sports. He coached me in soccer. He was always a mild manner man with a great sense of humor. I wanted to share a letter that Dottie Kauterman sent me a few years ago. It is from Mr. Hooven to his son Jack in 1971. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
